How the Xdrug Program Works
We’ve made it easy for everyone to participate in this important initiative. Here’s how you can get involved.
2. Bring Your Expired/Unused Medicines:
Safely gather your expired, unused, or surplus prescription and over-the-counter medicines. No need to worry about original packaging — we accept medicines in all forms, including pills, syrups, ointments, creams, and medical devices like inhalers and thermometers.
3. Drop Them Off Securely:
Our trained staff at XDrug ensures that all collected medicines are handled with care and disposed of safely, in accordance with health and environmental regulations. All collected medicines are treated through eco-friendly methods like incineration, reducing pollution and protecting natural resources.

Accepted Items at Xdrug Collection Points
At XDrug, we accept a wide range of expired, unused, or surplus medicines to ensure their safe and eco-friendly disposal. Here’s a detailed explanation of what you can drop off:
Expired Prescription Medicines
Medications that were once prescribed by a doctor but have passed their expiration date or are no longer needed. These can include pills, capsules, syrups, or ointments originally provided with a prescription.

Over-the-Counter (OTC) Drugs
Medicines that you can purchase without a prescription, such as pain relievers, cold and flu tablets, antacids, allergy medicines, or topical creams. If these have expired or are no longer in use, they should be properly disposed of through our program.
Unused Tablets, Capsules, Syrups, and Creams
Any medicine in tablet, capsule, liquid, or cream form that remains unused — whether expired or simply no longer required — can be brought to our drop-off points. Original packaging is not necessary.
Important Note
For safety and regulatory reasons, XDrug does not accept needles, syringes, sharps, chemotherapy drugs, or illegal substances. These items require specialized handling and should be disposed of through designated medical waste services or hospital programs.
